Adventist Athletics Club Mthatha Branch
The Adventist Athletics Club Mthatha branch was established in 2016. It has grown and has proved itself time and again to be the most dedicated Adventist Club in the former Transkei region of the Eastern Cape. The Adventist Athletics Club Mthatha Branch is home to runners from towns like Mount Frere, Qumbu, Port St Johns, and other neighboring towns.
Situated in a disadvantaged rural and high crime rated area, athletics have kept the youth free from substance abuse. Membership has gradually increased over the years. We offer boot camps, cycling, swimming, long runs, and hiking,
Through the grace of God, the club has successfully hosted 4 annual races that have attracted runners throughout the province. Our unique races include a swimming gala & entertainment for children, aerobics, health screening by health professionals, distribution of health & spiritual handbooks as well as healthy lunch packs (it has earned the nickname of “ Runners Feast “ )
The club is actively participating in local races and has been honored to have quite a number of podium appearances in different categories.
