Adventist Athletics Club Western Cape is a community-driven athletics club based in the Western Cape, South Africa. Established in 2014 and affiliated with Western Province Athletics, the club provides inclusive opportunities for the public to participate in running, walking, and hiking in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our footprint stretches across the Western Cape coastline and hinterland — from Saldanha Bay through Cape Town and Hermanus, and as far as Knysna. We are passionate about promoting healthy living, active lifestyles, and meaningful community connections through sport.

At the heart of our club is inclusivity. We proudly welcome individuals of all ages, fitness levels, backgrounds, and abilities. Whether you are a seasoned marathon runner, a recreational walker, a social hiker, or just beginning your fitness journey, you will find a place within our community. We believe athletics is for everyone, in every shape, size, and stage of life.

Members gather Sundays for group training and fellowship, while maintaining their weekday training programmes individually or with local clubs in their areas. Each year, the club hosts a 60 km training run in preparation for the Comrades Marathon and proudly welcomes athletes from across the country who visit Cape Town for major racing events.

Equally important to our runners are the supporters who are our friends of the club. Behind every successful athlete is a network of encouragement. Supporters play a meaningful role by cheering at races, assisting at events, volunteering, and simply being present. Their encouragement fuels perseverance, strengthens morale, and reminds our athletes that they are never running alone. In our club, support is not secondary, but it is part of the journey.

Within the Adventist Athletics Club Western Cape, athletics is more than exercise it is a shared journey of wellness, friendship, encouragement, and community.
